The human body has two defense functions to protect itself from external threats such as bacteria and viruses. One is the immunity that is naturally possessed after birth (natural immunity), and the other is the induced immunity based on memory of external threats (acquired immunity). The therapy that utilizes NK (natural killer) cells, which represent cancer natural immunity, is called NK cell therapy.
